On April 16, Chenzhou held the investment promotion activity in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, its first station in the Greater Bay Area. It signed 25 cultural and tourism projects and industrial projects with a contract amount of 10.7 billion yuan. This is a specific measure taken by Chenzhou to seize the opportunity of hosting the second Hunan Tourism Development Conference and actively integrate into the coordinated development of the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.
With the form of a cultural and tourism market and a promotion conference, there are 46 booths covering various counties and cities, travel agencies, tourist attractions, products and cuisines in Chenzhou.
A total of 25 projects were signed during the event. The Foshan Travel Agency Association and the Chenzhou Tourism Resources Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement; the Shunde District Self-drive Tourism Association and the Chenzhou Scenic Area Association signed the marketing cooperation agreement.
There were also a number of industrial and cultural tourism projects, such as New Energy Manufacturing Industry Special High-end Automation Equipment Project in Chenzhou Economic Development Zone, the Chenzhou Tiantang Hot Spring Cultural Life Scenic Area Project, the National (Chenzhou) Hydrogen Energy Comprehensive Industry Innovation Demonstration Zone Project and Yuzhong Hot Spring Jiabin Lake Regional Construction and Operation Project in Jiahe County.
As an important node city in the Greater Bay Area, Foshan City is striving to build itself into a world-renowned manufacturing base. It achieved a regional GDP of nearly 1.27 trillion yuan in 2022. In 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission issued the “Work Plan for Counterpart Cooperation of Key Cities in Old Revolutionary Base Areas”, clarifying the establishment of a cooperative relationship between Foshan and Chenzhou.
In January of this year, the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Hunan Provincial Government jointly issued the “Implementation Plan for Cooperation between Foshan City and Chenzhou City”. In February of this year, Foshan and Chenzhou established a joint party-government meeting system, and the interaction and cooperation between the two sides have been closer since then.
